Leadership Development in the Indiana Conference seeks to

to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the World!
The overall purpose of Leadership Development in the Indiana Conference is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world through strategic planning for identification, recruitment, training and deployment of excellent leaders in the State of Indiana, by providing transformational leadership and by recruiting, training and motivating transformational leaders.
- Works closely with the Indiana Conference Board of Ordained Ministry to develop and implement a process of recruitment, enlistment, licensing, commissioning, ordination and lifelong learning to developing transformational leaders, with intentional attention given to developing transformational leaders of color.
- Partners with the Cabinet, the Directors and the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry to develop a culture of lifelong leadership excellence with resources for leadership development at every stage of ministry. This includes training processes that will provide for healthy self care, equipping of clergy for transitions in ministry and for practical skill development for leading local congregations including how to empower a healthy partnership between clergy and laity in local church ministry.
- Partners with the Board of Laity to develop pathways for excellence in laity leadership and coordinating leadership development and recruitment within and between the various working teams and committees of the conference and leadership in our local churches helping place the right leaders in the right places.
